Sixth Form

Chingford Foundation School runs a thriving Sixth Form. Our aim is to develop students who are caring, resourceful, employable and well-qualified. We provide an academic and disciplined environment that is committed to supporting each student individually to thrive and attain excellent results within a comprehensive school setting.

You will see that there are a range of courses on offer, together with additional enrichment studies. The aim is to prepare students thoroughly for higher education and/or employment, creating well rounded individuals with a strong work ethic and social awareness. 

Our reputation as a quality provider of Sixth Form education has become firmly established in Waltham Forest and beyond. OFSTED inspected our Sixth Form provision in November 2014 and described it as 'Outstanding'.  In 2019, we received further praise from Ofsted:

'The academic curriculum meets the needs of the students exceptionally well. The combination of this curriculum with very good teaching, and the resulting high levels of achievement, is at the heart of why the sixth form is outstanding.' 

Our exam results are very strong indeed, with the consequence that a significant number of our students go on to obtain places at leading universities.

Applications for our Sixth Form are welcome from students taking GCSEs in any local school.  Successful applicants will need to be committed to our aims and ethos, so that we can work together to ensure they succeed on their chosen courses.
