Sixth Form Applications
2025/2026 Entry
Application Form – Internal and External Students
- Our application form will be open from Monday 6th January 2025 and will close on Wednesday 26th February.
- External students will need to provide a reference and confirmation of predicted grades before the application is considered further.
Before Applying
- Look at the subject entry requirements.
- Students will not be admitted onto courses they do not meet the entry requirements.
- Review our Sixth Form prospectus for details on subject content
What qualifications do we offer?
- We offer Level 3 courses (A Levels and a selection of vocational courses).
- We also offer resit GCSE English Language and Maths, for those not obtaining a grade 4.
- Other GCSE courses on our Bridging pathway are available for selected students. This is on offer to internal students only.
- Students can opt to carry out an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) - equivalent to an AS Level course. This is subject to staff availability.
After Applying
Students will be asked to attend an in-person interview following their application. Invitations will be sent online via our application platform.
Predicted GCSE grades will be used in reaching a decision about whether to make you a conditional offer of the course/subjects you have chosen. Please be aware that a conditional offer does not confirm your place in the Sixth Form or mean that you are guaranteed a place on courses. All decisions about final enrolment are based on you achieving the general and subject specific entry criteria, as well as if there is space on the courses chosen.
Enrolment
- Internal students will collect their GCSE results and then attend a one-to-one meeting with a member of the Sixth Form team to confirm their enrolment.
- External students will be sent an enrolment invitation through our application platform Applicaa. This meeting will be an in person meeting with a member of the Sixth Form team.
- For students who did not apply but are interested in enrolling into the Sixth Form it is possible to come into Chingford Foundation School to meet with a member of the Sixth Form Team during these enrolment days. Please email sixth-form@chingfordfs.org.uk
