Term 1

Well done to all of our students who received A-Level exam results over the summer. Zaina Alavi (left) achieved three A*s left and will go on to study Medicine at UCL. Lewis Hayhow (centre) will study Engineering at UCL after achieving three A*s. Finally, Julija Jazuk, right, will study History at Cambridge and she also achieved three A*s. Despite a very difficult period, the students conducted themselves magnificently with many students going on to their first choice destinations.  To all our outgoing students, we wish you the very best of luck for the future!

It’s been fantastic to welcome our new Year 12s to the Sixth Form. We wish the class of 2023 the very best of luck with their studies #letsgo!

A great turn out for the boys Sixth Form football trials! We are ready to conquer: first game, Highams Park! #winning #chingarmy

It’s great to see school trips back up and running again! Our Y13 Biologists enjoying fieldwork in Epping Forest.

Thank you to everyone who took part in Macmillan Coffee Morning and donated! We managed to raise £456 for the charity, which is brilliant!

Ed Flack from WizeUp joined us for a talk on employability skills, the job market, apprenticeships and flat sharing at university.

Our Religious Studies students went to see the production of Godspell in Walthamstow before Half Term. A lot of fun had by all!

Many of our students have been supporting Year 7s with their reading so far this term. Thank you to all our reading mentors!

Our debating society meets every Thursday lunchtime. Here, students are getting stuck into a structured debate!

Our students represented the Sixth Form superbly at the Chingford Remembrance Memorial.

Our students participated in a Climate Change Youth Panel at Waltham Forest Town Hall. They raised their concerns about climate action with counsellors very passionately.

Our students delivered an excellent assembly to all year groups on the importance of Black History Month. Our Black History celebrations in the Sixth Form included a dress down day where students wore the colours of the pan-African flag. Some students dressed in traditional African clothing which was brilliant. The refectory put on an Afro-Caribbean themed menu and our Sixth Form students arranged badges for the whole school to raise money for charity.
